As a distributed consultancy operating across multiple countries, Verlata faced common—but critical—challenges with their existing people systems:
Verlata had taken a major step forward by implementing a new HRIS—but needed the right payroll solution and integration in place to make it all work together.
Digital Directions was brought in to guide the full payroll system lifecycle—from vendor evaluation and selection, through to integration with the new HRIS, and global rollout.
We began by assessing Verlata’s unique requirements across each geography, then ran a structured evaluation process to shortlist and select a payroll platform that could scale across countries and integrate seamlessly with their new HRIS.
Once selected, we built a custom integration using our middleware solution—ensuring key employee data (onboarding, job changes, terminations, leave) flowed accurately and securely between HR and payroll, removing the need for duplicate data entry.
We worked closely with regional stakeholders to configure the solution for each geography—supporting localisation of payroll rules, reporting, and compliance workflows across six countries.
Digital Directions supported rollout planning, employee communications, and training to ensure a smooth go-live experience for both system users and payroll admins.
In partnership with Verlata, we successfully launched a new payroll system integrated with their HRIS—giving their globally distributed team a modern, connected people experience.
